Women.
Why are women expected to make everybody’s life easier.They are the ones expected to play the supporting roles, when they are the freaking heroes in it’s true sense.
Our whole lives we grow up watching our moms doing every single thing selflessly. They are supposed to be convenient. Women need to be aware of their individuality. Yes, it’s great that they are selfless, they work without thinking of any rewards. But is it okay that they still get harassed, that they still get disrespected after doing so much, after making everyone’s life so much easier.
For some they are just sex objects. Some women are treated like a worker the family is paying to do the chores when she is the one doing all of it just for her family. Women need to stand up for themselves.
Being a minority in this man’s world, we underestimate ourselves. In the words of Michelle Obama, ” We don’t pat ourselves on the back.” Everything that’s in our mind is valid. Our dreams are valid. Our ideas are valid and we have the ability to execute them.
We have all just worsened the situation so much that nowadays there is a different vocabulary for men and women. A man if seen crying would first be criticised but then it’ll be assumed that he is going through something terrible. A women crying is just overreacting. A man on a higher position must have earned it. A women on a higher position must have done something with her boss to get that position.
We need to change. We are changing. And we (women) will change this whole system. If we don’t get opportunities, we’ll create opportunities. If they think our ideas aren’t valid, we’ll put it on the table and let people deal with it. We are proud of being inconvenient coz we are not born to make everyone else’s life easier. We got our own lives.
