एक दिन सब बदल जाएगा
वक्त के साथ वो लोग वो जगह वो यादें
सब बदल जाएंगे

बस एक ठहरे रह जाओगे तो तुम
और सोचोगे कि ऐसा क्या कर दिया था मैंने
जो ये सब मिल गया
तुम्हें प्यार करने वाले तो बहुत मिलेंगे
लेकिन तुम्हारे तरीके से तुम्हें प्यार जताने वाले शायद बहुत कम
और मानो या ना मानो
पर जब प्यार वक्त जाता ना जाए ना
तो दिल बहुत दुखता है
दुखता है वो ख्याल की ऐसा क्या नहीं किया मैंने
जो मुझे ये मिल रहा है

तो तुम भी
बदलना सीख जाना

बदल जाना
पर इतनी भी मत बदलना
की उन जड़ों को, उस जमीन को ही भुल जाओ
जहां तुम पले
जहां तुम्हें वो सारा प्यार और लाड मिला
जिसके तुम शायद हकदार भी नहीं थे

बादल जाना
पर इतना भी मत बदलना
की उन लोगो को भूल जाओ
जिन्की वजह से तुम ये पढ़ पा रहे हो
जिन्होने किसी वक़्त पर अपना पेट काट कर तुम्हें भर-पेट सुलाया
जिन्होने अपने सर से छत हटा कर तुम्हारा घर बसाया

बादल जाना
पर इतना भी मत बदलना
कि तुम पहचाने भी ना जाओ।
